Catamarans from Dubrovnik to Split and vice versa are excellent way of connection between the two towns.
Catamarans from Split to Dubrovnik in 2020 – about the companies providing the catamaran service
There are two companies providing this service and those companies are Jadrolinija and Kapetan Luka. Ticket price is 220 kuna per person (approximately 30 Euro) from Dubrovnik to Split each way. As for the luggage is being concerned, you can leave it on the racks that are available once you board the catamaran. Hence, luggage is not a concern at all.
During the ride, catamarans make stops on Brac, Hvar, Mljet and Korcula islands. However, you will not have time to explore these islands (since the catamarans stop just to pick up the passengers).
Jadrolinija catamaran ride lasts for almost 6 hours. Kapetan Luka catamaran ride lasts for approximately 4 1/2 hours.
Arrival to Split by catamaran
Jadrolinija – their catamarans arrive to the Pier of St. Nicholas (Gat sv. Nikole in Croatian) in Split. Here is the exact Google location of the Pier of St. Nicholas.
Kapetan Luka – their catamarans arrive to the Pier of St. Peter (Gat sv. Petra in Croatian) in Split. Here is the exact Google location of the Pier of St. Peter.
Both companies land in the port of Split, so that it is very easy to reach the old town of Split from the pier. Therefore, bus station, train station and taxis are very central, not far from landing piers. As a result of that, it is very easy to travel to other destinations from Split.
CONCLUSION: Certainly, this type of traveling from Split to Dubrovnik is great. It can also save you some money and it is very convenient. By all means, I think it could be recommended!
